Dear Readers:
I hope you have the opportunity over the next few weeks to savor this beautiful new season. While fall is my favorite time of year, it is also a time when we are all reminded to show gratitude for our blessings.
As Shakespeare once said, “Thanks, thanks, and ever thanks.” (Jodi Picoult might argue that Shakespeare, the man, actually said those words, but IYKYK.) At any rate, I want to devote this fall’s newsletter to thanking the people who have helped me launch my debut picture book Look for the Pink Ribbons. I have been truly blessed.
First of all, I am humbled and eternally grateful to God, who has given me words and opportunities, to Dr. Samuel Lowery and Ambassador International, to family and friends, and to all the connections I have made over the years in the writing industry. I could not have persevered without you.
I want to specifically give thanks to Glenys Nellist, Crystal Bowman, and Jill Roman Lord, three awesome writers who kindly agreed to endorse my book. Their words have meant the world to me.
Please check out each of their new books: Gathered at the Table by Glenys Nellist, The Compassion Storybook Bible by Crystal Bowman and Sue Schlesman, and My Thanksgiving Blessings by Jill Roman Lord.
I also want to thank those people on my launch team who have shared and liked and commented and written reviews and given of their time and energy to support me and this book.
According to Aesop, “In union there is strength,” and an old Hopi proverb tells us, “One finger cannot lift a pebble.”
I often wanted to give up on this writing journey, but I am glad I persevered. Once again, I am humbled by the support of my readers.
If you have purchased a copy of my book, the following resources are available to you as a newsletter subscriber, and I hope you will find them useful in your homes and in your churches.
I pray this book will give you faith and hope and encourage you to strive toward your own successes.
As a thank you to all my newsletter subscribers, your names will be entered into my giveaway of a copy of Look for the Pink Ribbons. The deadline to be eligible for this giveaway is midnight, September 24, 2024. Again, I am eternally grateful for your support.
Blessings,
The Literary Lyonesse
