Song of the Seasons book review

SONG OF THE SEASONS, written by Glenys Nellist and illustrated by C. B. Canga, is a gorgeous new children’s book highlighting the beauty of God’s creation. As an English teacher, I love how the author uses personification to bring this beauty to life. For example, tulips bow their heads, and rivers clap their hands. Every season sings its own special song as it celebrates God’s presence in the world. Readers can experience this celebration with the two children as they hike and bike and boat and skate from spring to winter. “If you pause and close your eyes, you’ll hear the seasons speak.” Children and adults alike will be captivated by the sweet rhymes and the vivid images. I wish I could give this book more than five stars!
